今日は〈エメラルドの日〉?

国民の祝日である「みどりの日」にちなんで
緑色の宝石エメラルドをPRする日
当初は4月29日でしたが
2007年（平成19年）に「みどりの日」が5月4日になるのにあわせて5月4日に変更されました
エメラルドは5月の誕生石でもあります
宝石言葉は「幸運」「幸福」「誠実」
幸多きの言葉で素敵ですね
エメラルドの歴史は古く
世界の4大宝石にも数えられ
古代エジプトではクレオパトラも愛用したとされていたそうです
